SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The South Haven Police Department is looking for more information on two reported assaults and a shooting that occurred during a large beach party that was advertised on Facebook.
Authorities responded to large groups on both North and South Beach throughout the day on Monday as well as complaints of groups throughout the city in the evening.
Two assaults were reported and two vehicles were found damaged by bullets around 11:30 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Fruit Street and Indiana Avenue, a couple blocks away from the Lake Michigan shoreline.
South Haven Police found several spent casings on the ground and the two damaged cars.
There are no reports of injuries and no suspect description at this time.
