HOWARD TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Five people are injured after a vehicle crashed into a home in Cass County.
It happened around 1:15 p.m. Monday at a residence near Thomson Road and Dick Street in Howard Township.
Cass County Sheriff deputies say 17-year-old Juan Villafana from Niles was traveling eastbound on Thomson when he lost control of the vehicle, ran off the road, and smashed into the residence.
The homeowner, 59-year-old Carolyn Holloway, was standing outside the house when the vehicle crashed.
Villafana and four other juveniles inside of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and were transported to Lakeland Niles Hospital and Lakeland ER for treatment.
Authorities say drugs or alcohol are not suspected to be contributing factors to this crash, but it is still under investigation.
