DOWAGIAC, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — An investigation is underway after two drive-by shootings in Dowagiac over the weekend.
The first occurred around 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of James Street when a home had been shot with three people inside, but nobody was injured.
The second happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Maple Street when another home with four people inside was shot, but again nobody was hurt.
Witnesses in the first incident said they believed several shots were fired at the residence by unknown vehicles.
Authorities believe the shootings may be related and that they were not random acts.
