THREE RIVERS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A motorcyclist is dead after a crash in Three Rivers over the weekend.
It happened just after 9:00 p.m. Sunday in the area of East Hoffman and Wood Streets near the Hoffman Pond.
Three Rivers Police say the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on East Hoffman when the driver lost control, and laid the motorcycle down. The 45-year-old Three Rivers resident then left the roadway and struck a pole.
First responders attempted life-saving measures and the motorcyclist was transported to the Three Rivers emergency room and then flown to Bronson Methodist where the biker was later pronounced dead.
The victim’s name has not been released. The Three Rivers Fire Department assisted during the crash and an accident investigator from the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s office helped in the investigation.
