KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Two Kalamazoo men are now in custody for shooting multiple rounds into an occupied home back in 2019.
It happened just after 9 p.m. on January 13, 2019 in the 4000 block of Grand Prairie Road in Kalamazoo Township. At the time of the incident police used a K-9 and were unable to locate the suspects but did find two handguns used in the incident. With that evidence authorities were able to identify their potential suspects.
Then on June 11, 2020 34-year-old Antonio Cornelius Perkins was taken into custody by the Michigan State Police fugitive team with the assistance of the Kalamazoo Metro SWAT team. He was arraigned for being a felon in possession of a firearm, discharging a firearm into a building and two counts of felony firearm.
Shortly after, on June 17, 2020 42-year-old Willie Donnell-TJ Warren was taken into custody and was also arraigned on the charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, discharging a firearm in to a building and two counts of felony firearm.
Eleven days after this incident occurred, the same residence was intentionally set on fire and the occupant, Gary Selig, was killed as a result of that fire.
