KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is searching for a man who is considered armed and dangerous.
23-year-old Juan Cortez Richards Jr. was arrested on June 10th for attempted murder, felony firearm and third-degree domestic assault, but eventually he was released from the Kalamazoo County Jail.
Authorities say Richards then assaulted the same victim while armed with a handgun on Thursday. He was last seen that day at the Fox Ridge Apartment Complex off of Alamo Avenue in Kalamazoo’s West Douglas Neighborhood.
A bench warrant was issued for Richards on Friday because he violated his conditional bond and then another warrant was issued for felonious assault with a dangerous weapon.
