KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo man is in the county jail after threatening officers with a weapon.
Public Safety officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Cadillac Street near Hawley Street on the city’s Northside around 6:30 a.m. Saturday after a report of a group of people fighting in the street.
When authorities arrived they were approached by a man who threatened them with a weapon. The 26-year-old Kalamazoo man was arrested for felonious assault on police officers and felony resisting and obstructing.
There were no reports of injuries from the original fight call, according to officers.
This comes just four hours after KDPS responded to a massive party and gunshots about a mile away in the 1300 block of North Burdick Street. At last reported, no suspects were arrested in the party incident.
