ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — An Allegan County woman passed away Monday night after sustaining injuries in a hit-and-run incident earlier this month.
Wood TV 8 reported Tuesday that Beaty had been walking in the area of 117th Avenue west of 56th Street in rural Clyde Township earlier this month when she was struck by the suspect vehicle.
Police are currently working on possible leads, but there are no witnesses or suspects in this case. Wood TV 8 spoke with members of Beaty’s family Tuesday, who are urging the perpetrator to come forward.
Family members say that Beaty was in good health at her age and took mile-long walks twice a day.
