KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — One suspect could be facing multiple charges after an armed assault led to an arrest in Kalamazoo.
Public Safety officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Saint Albans Way near Gull Road in the Burke Acres Neighborhood around 11 p.m. Thursday after a victim said they had been battered and had a gun pointed at their head by a known assailant.
Authorities located the suspect who immediately fled on foot. Officers gave a short chase and eventually apprehended the suspect.
KDPS searched the area and found the loaded firearm that was used during the assault.
The firearm was seized and the 25-year-old was arrested and lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail, as they await arraignment.
