KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) has issued an update into a shooting that occurred on Friday, June 26 in the 1300 block of Washington street.
Witnesses say they saw two occupants in light colored SUVs shooting at each other while driving down the street. When authorities arrived they located nine shell casings in the street from two different caliber firearms.
No bystanders or homes were hit, but a bullet did strike an unoccupied parked car on the block.
Wednesday, police released information on a vehicle suspected of being involved in the shooting, which is described as white-colored SUV.
At this time, no victim or intended target of the shooting has been identified. KDPS is hoping that members of the community will come forward with information on the suspect(s).
