KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Deptartment of Public Safety is continuing to look into a fire that occurred Friday on the city’s Southside.
It broke out in the 2100 block of South Burdick Street near Alcott Street.
Officers responded after getting reports of heavy smoke and flames at a residence there. They were able to bring the fire under control in around 20 minutes.
Authorities were told by neighbors that the structure was vacant and there were no injuries reported.
