KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A suspect is facing various weapon violations and assault charges after shots were fired at a home in Kalamazoo’s Edison Neighborhood.
Public Safety officers were dispatched to the 700 block of East Vine Street near Portage Street around 1 a.m. Monday and spoke with residents who said a known subject repeatedly discharged a firearm at their home due to an ongoing altercation.
Authorities located the suspect fleeing the area and pulled over their vehicle. A search turned up the firearm officers believe was used during the incident.
The suspect was transported to the Kalamazoo County Jail and await arraignment. No injuries were reported and no other information has been provided at this time.
