NEW BUFFALO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A woman from Illinois is dead after a motorcycle crash in Berrien County.
It happened around 6:45 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Red Arrow Highway and Community Hall Road in New Buffalo Township, near the Michigan/Indiana border.
Berrien County Sheriff deputies say 23-year-old Stacy Johnson was riding her motorcycle without a helmet on and was turning left into the parking lot of Timothy’s Restaurant when she was hit by a car.
Two doctors who were passing by responded and gave Johnson CPR, but she was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
It’s unclear if charges will be filed against the driver. Authorities are still investigating the crash.
