KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — An investigation is underway after multiple reports of gunfire on Kalamazoo’s Eastside.
Public Safety officers responded to the 500 block of Edwin Avenue near Charles Avenue around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday where area residents and witnesses reported hearing numerous gunshots and then saw a vehicle recklessly flee the area and hit a curb.
Authorities canvassed the scene and found multiple spent bullet casings from different caliber firearms. No injuries were reported and there is no information on any possible suspects.
About 30 minutes later and less than a half-mile from this scene, officers were called to a home on Albert Avenue after a bullet lodged inside of a residence. It’s unclear if the two shootings are connected.
