BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Battle Creek fire officials are investigating a suspicious fire that broke out at an abandoned factory.
Crews were called to the old American Stamping Company on the corner of East Burnham Street and Fonda Avenue in Battle Creek around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday and found flames coming from the second floor on the east end of the building.
Firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still unknown and authorities are considering it suspicious. The Battle Creek Fire Marshal and the Battle Creek Police Department are launching an investigation.
