MARCELLUS TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Two people are injured after a motorcyclist collided into a pickup truck in Cass County.
It occurred around 9:15 p.m. Saturday on Marcellus Highway near Finch Road in Marcellus Township.
Deputies say 21-year-old Christopher Hoeppner of Three Rivers pulled out of a driveway onto Marcellus Highway in front of the westbound motorcyclist, causing the crash.
The two on the motorcycle, 25-year-old Olivia Hines of Dowagiac and 28-year-old Jordan Hawkins of Marcellus, were ejected from the motorcycle and transported to Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo for treatment.
Hines and Hawkins were not wearing helmets. Their current conditions have not been released.
Authorities say alcohol was not a factor. They’re continuing to investigate the crash.
