KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) – The Perseids meteor shower is back, and sky watchers are preparing for the annual event.
The peak of the shower is expected beginning the night of August 11th and early morning of the 12th.
Those wanting a good luck at the shower, which can feature bright meteors with vapor trails that glow, should watch the northwestern sky, with experts advising that viewers lay flat on their backs, and be in a place that is as dark as possible.
