KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — An armed robbery suspect is facing charges in the Kalamazoo County Jail because of a member of Kalamazoo’s K-9 team.
Public Safety responded at 9 last night to a report of a hold-up in the 500 block of North Park Street.
The victim told PSO’s that the robber claimed to have a weapon but it was not seen, took the victim’s property and fled.
Sgt. Andrew Werkema says a tracking dog led officers about 2-blocks away to the 600 block of Ada St. where the 39-year-old suspect was located and arrested without incident.
The stolen items were recovered.
