KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo man is in custody after an armed robbery in the city’s Eastside Neighborhood.
It occurred in the 1600 block of East Main Street shortly after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The victim said they were sitting in their vehicle when they were approached by the man who displayed a weapon, took their money, and fled on foot.
Public Safety officers launched an investigation and located the money and the weapon inside a home in the 500-block of Phelps Street.
The 34-year-old man was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant as well as charges of armed robbery and felonious assault.
His name has not been released.
