KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — There will be a Women’s March in Kalamazoo this weekend but it’s taken a national controversy, a cancellation and then reorganization locally for it to happen.
The National group splintered because internal differences over politics. Locally there were complaints about last year’s Women’s March in Kalamazoo because it focused too much on women.
After an initial cancellation, it’s been redesigned to include other progressive groups.
They will gather for a march at 2 pm Saturday at Bronson Park, walk down to MLK Park on North Rose and then March back to Bronson Park for Speakers.
The weather forecast is calling for cold and snow, so dress appropriately.
