BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — Battle Creek Police are asking anyone who lives near the scene of the city’s latest shooting death to check their surveillance footage to see if they might have captured a shot of the vehicle involved in the homicide.
23-year-old Wendell Daniels was killed and two others wounded when their car was hit by gunfire from another vehicle at the corner of Kendall Street and Dickman Road early Sunday morning.
They say anyone who lives on Eldred Street between Capital Avenue SW and Meachem Avenue; Meachem between Eldred and Upton Avenue, Upton between Meachem and Kendall and Kendall between Upton and Dickman Road should check their security footage and contact authorities if they see anything suspicious.
They think it may have been linked to other shootings in the community on that Sunday and the following day.
