KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety officers are releasing more information on a shoplifting incident at a grocery store near the Oakland/Winchell neighborhood.
Workers at the D & W Fresh Market on Parkview Avenue spotted 32-year-old Immanuel Bradley shoplifting Saturday afternoon and called Public Safety.
Officers say when they confronted Bradley, he fled, discarding a gun, and broke into a stranger’s home less than a block away on Logan Avenue.
After a standoff that lasted several hours, a warrant was obtained and the SWAT team entered the home and took him into custody.
Bradley has been in and out of prison since 2003 for a series of burglary and home invasion convictions.
He is currently being held for being a felon in possession of a gun, resisting, retail fraud and illegal entry.
