VAN BUREN COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) — Van Buren County Deputies have arrested a Kalamazoo woman for stealing mail and say there may be more victims out there.
They say an observant resident spotted the 24-year-old suspect going from mailbox to mailbox around noon Monday in a white Cadillac, removing mail from some of them.
They gave her license plate number to deputies who tracked her down and arrested her for mail theft.
They recovered mail from 13-victims, but they believe there may be more.
They say the mail was taken from boxes along 59th Street and County Roads 215 and 384 in Columbia and Geneva townships.
Anyone from that area who thinks they may be missing checks, invoices or other sensitive correspondence may want to check their bank activity and report any discrepancies to the Sheriff’s office.
