PAW PAW (WKZO AM/FM) — A Michigan State Police Trooper who has been suspended without pay since last September has now formally been charged with embezzling funding from a non-profit charitable organization.
Jesse Binns had been assigned to the Niles Post and was also working as the Assistant Fire Chief at the Cass Central Fire Station when the alleged embezzlement took place.
No dollar figure was stated, only that it was less than $20,000.
A special prosecutor from Kalamazoo was assigned to execute the charges.
