DECATUR TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — A driver is dead after a single car crash in southern Van Buren County.
It occurred around 1:15 p.m. Thursday in the 37,000 block of County Road 669 in Decatur Township.
Deputies say the driver was traveling westbound on the rural stretch of road when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree.
The 43-year-old victim from Vandalia was the only occupant in the vehicle and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
His name has not been released and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
