KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — There has been a car-pedestrian accident in Kalamazoo but this time the pedestrian survived, and the driver stuck around.
Public Safety and rescue crews were dispatched to North and Westnedge at about 7 pm last evening and found a man lying in the road face down with head lacerations.
The driver and witnesses told police that the driver had the right of way. As it turned out the 47-year-old pedestrian was taken to Bronson Emergency with only minor injuries.
His current status was not released. It was determined the driver was not under the influence and had not been speeding.
As spring approaches, Public Safety Capt. Matt Huber is encouraging citizens to remain alert and obey all traffic laws, whether they are behind the wheel, pedaling a bike or just out for a stroll.
