KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo teen is in custody after a traffic stop near the Edison Neighborhood.
A Public Safety officer pulled over the vehicle for a registration violation around 8 a.m. Sunday 1200 block of Portage Street.
The 18-year-old driver was first arrested for an outstanding warrant but then the officer also found a handgun and falsified documents regarding the vehicle’s registration.
The teen was then charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of forged vehicle registration on top of the outstanding warrant.
