(JACKSON, MI) (WKZO AM/FM) — Consumers Energy is now revealing the causes of the fire prompting a statewide plea to turn down thermostats during an extremely fridgid week in January. M-Live reporting the culprit as an automatic release of natural gas combined with high winds and hot equipment resulting in a massive fire at Consumer Energy’s largest natural gas site on January 30th. Consumers released a statement on Friday, April 5th about it’s findings after a two month investigation.
