(MUSKEGON, MI) (WKZO AM/FM) — Muskegon public safety officers say a report of a shooting in the city’s Oakview neighborhood turned out to be a medical issue. WOOD TV reports that the Muskegon County Sherriff’s office says authorities were called just before 6 pm on Saturday to investigate a shooting taking place in the 1000 block of Emerson Avenue. However, once on scene, officers discovered that the alleged victim turned out to be a man with mental issues who took too much of “an illicit controlled substance.” No one was injured in the incident.
