KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A thief is on the run after stealing a cash register from a business in Kalamazoo’s Vine Neighborhood.
Public Safety officers responded to the armed robbery just before 10:30 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of South Burdick Street.
The clerk says the suspect pointed a handgun at him, demanded cash, grabbed the entire cash register, and then fled southbound.
The robber is described as a black man, medium build, wearing a blue hoodie, grey sweatpants, white Nike shoes, and an orange mask.
A K-9 track was launched, but it is believed that the suspect entered a getaway vehicle at some point.
