(GRAND RAPIDS MI) (WKZO AM/FM) — Two Detroit area men are now in jail after trying to get through Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids with large stashes of cocaine in their checked baggage. MLive reports that each had five Kilograms or 11 pounds in two bags for a total of 22 pounds. Police with the Metropolitan Enforcement Team in Kent County received a tip on March 28th from Federal Drug Enforcement Administration agents about three men expected to arrive at Ford Airport with possible narcotics.
