LAWRENCE (WKZO AM/FM) — A sharp eyed Van Buren County Deputy spotted a silver VW Passat early yesterday that had been used as a getaway vehicle just two hours before following an armed robbery at a Shell Gas Station in Ann Arbor.
Police in Washtenaw County had issued an alert for the vehicle.
Deputies stopped the car as it headed west on I-94 near Lawrence.
They arrested a 27 and a 28-year-old from Chicago, and a 25-year-old female from Ann Arbor. They found evidence from the hold-up in the car.
The suspects were handed over to Ann Arbor police.
