LANSING (WKZO AM/FM) — Mom’s Demand Action, an anti-gun violence group made up largely of the relatives of gun victims were making some noise at the State Capitol yesterday as they were delivering their list of what the Mom’s are demanding to lawmakers.
Spokesperson Emily Durbin says one bill they want passed is Red Flag Legislation which would allow a judge at the request of family or the police to temporarily remove guns from the home of a troubled person who may do harm to themselves or others.
She says 11 other states have already approved such laws.
The bills were introduced in February but have not moved through committee.
