COLON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Mendon man is seriously injured after he crashed while speeding through a field in St. Joseph County.
It occurred around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday off M-66 near Spring Creek Road in Colon Township.
Deputies say 22-year-old Steven Wickey was driving his pickup truck through a field during farming operations when he lost control, flipped, and was ejected from the vehicle.
His passenger was not hurt but Wickey sustained serious injures.
Seatbelts were not worn and speed is believed to be the contributing factor.
