KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The Red Cross is helping a family after a fire damaged their home in Kalamazoo’s Westwood Neighborhood.
It broke out just after 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of Nichols Road, not far from the fire station.
Kalamazoo Township Fire officials say three people were inside the home when the blaze started, but nobody was injured.
It took firefighters about 30-minutes to extinguish the flames and the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
