VICKSBURG (WKZO AM/FM) — The U.S. Department of Agriculture will loan the Village of Vicksburg over $8.4-million to make significant improvements to their sewer system.
The village will use the money to replace interceptor pipes, repair and improve pumps and lift stations and increase the size of the force main.
They say that will significantly improve the performance of the system.
The USDA is investing $82-million in 40 rural projects across the nation, saying the infrastructure improvements will improve the quality of life, support economic development and ensure a safe water supply.
