KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo man is heading to prison for the stabbing death of another man last fall.
36-year-old Kalvin Carter Jr. was sentenced Monday to at least 15 and a half years after he pleaded no contest to second-degree murder for the death of 27-year-old Charles Hough.
The two got into an altercation outside the Concord Place Apartments in Oshtemo late last September which resulted in Carter fatally stabbing Hough.
Carter apologized to the family during his sentencing and said that everyone was all high on drugs the night of the stabbing.
