KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — An Illinois man is listed in critical condition after a near drowning accident after being pushed off of a dock at a lake in Cass County.
Deputies were called to the 17000 block of Donnell Lake St in Penn Twp. Cass County around 4:31 pm Saturday.
Authorities say that a Parish W. Swanson (50 yr old from Aurora Il.) was out on the dock near the lake. His sons were playing around with Mr. Swanson and he was pushed into the lake off the dock. After a brief time under water the sons were able to bring him back to shore. CPR was then initiated on him before he was taken by Life Care Ambulance to Elkhart General Hospital where he was listed as critical condition.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Cass County Marine Division, Penn Twp. Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance.
The case remains under investigation at this time.
