KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The power is back home for several homes and businesses near Kalamazoo’s Westnedge Hill Neighborhood.
Public Safety officers were called to the 3,200 block of South Westnedge Avenue just before 3 p.m. Sunday after a 2-vehicle crash knocked down several utility and power lines.
Both drivers were not injured but the roadway was closed for about 40-minutes as crews cleared the scene.
Consumers Energy reports about 20-customers were without power due to the incident.
The crash is still under investigation and deputies believe speed and alcohol may have been factors.
