NEWBERG TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Cass County Sheriff deputies say speed and alcohol may have been factors after a man fell out of a bed of a pickup truck in Newberg Township.
It happened just after 4 a.m. Sunday on Hoffman Street near Kirk Lake Road.
Authorities say a 21-year-old Marcellus woman was traveling southbound on Cox Road through the curve onto Hoffman Street when her 28-year-old passenger in the bed of the truck fell out.
He was rushed to Bronson Hospital and treated for his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
