KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo County Commissioner is announcing her run for State Representative.
Stephanie Moore released the video on her Facebook page on Wednesday standing on Ada Street in the Northside Neighborhood and explaining the work she has done to rebuild the community.
She plans on running for Michigan’s 60th House District seat currently held by Representative Jon Hoadley.
Hoadley is term limited and announced his plans to challenge Congressman Fred Upton in the 2020 election.
Moore, who was elected the 1st African-American chair of the Board of Commissioners, is currently serving her 3rd term and as been a lifelong resident of the Northside Neighborhood.
She will make her official campaign announcement at Arcadia Ales at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
