NEWBURG TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A motorcyclists is injured after he struck a raccoon in Newburg Township.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 15,000 block of Quaker Street.
Cass County Sheriff deputies say that 37-year-old Jeremy Tomlinson of Sturgis was traveling westbound when the animal caused him to crash on the roadway.
He walked to a nearby house for assistance and was taken to Three Rivers Hospital for his injuries.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
