KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — One person is injured and a gunman is still at large after shots were fired into a large crowd in Kalamazoo’s Northside Neighborhood.
It happened around 3 a.m. Sunday in the 800 block of Woodbury Avenue.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers say several hundred people were gathered in the street when gunshots were fired within the crowd.
A 21-year-old Kalamazoo man was rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound. His current condition has not been released.
Officers say the large uncooperative crowd made it difficult to find the suspect. Additional law enforcement departments assisted in crowd control and there is no known suspect information at this time.
