CHARLESTON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Drugs may have been a factor in a crash that sent two people to the hospital and one eventually to the Kalamazoo County Jail.
Deputies were called to the 4,900 block of south 36th Street around 9:15 a.m. Sunday where they found the single car wreck with two people trapped inside of the vehicle.
Charleston Township fire officials used extrication equipment to cut away at the door and rescue the occupants.
The driver, a 33-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Bronson Hospital and the passenger, a 33-year-old man, was treated for non-life threatening injuries and then transported to the county jail for a felony warrant for his arrest.
No names have been released and the crash is still under investigation.
