KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A man is in critical condition after a shooting in Kalamazoo’s Edison Neighborhood.
Public Safety officers were called to the area of Washington Avenue and James Street around 7:30 p.m. Sunday after a report that a man had been shot.
The 33-year-old Kalamazoo resident was taken to the hospital in critical condition and the suspect, who some say was known to the victim, is still at large.
The shooter is described as a black man, about 5’10”, and was last seen wearing a white and blue polo shirt and armed with a handgun.
This was the second shooting on Sunday after a man shot into a large crowd of people on Woodbury Avenue on the Northside, injuring a 21-year-old man. That shooter also remains at large.
