BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Battle Creek man is in jail after fleeing from police on Saturday.
The Calhoun County Sheriffs’ Office reports the 42 year old sped away from an attempted traffic violation stop on Capital Avenue at Eton Street around 11:45 pm reaching speeds of up to 100 miles per hour.
Authorities say an officer from the Battle Creek Police Department deployed stop sticks causing the vehicle to come to a halt.
The man is being held at the Calhoun County Jail on charges of fleeing and eluding, possession of stolen property, methamphetamine and driving on a suspended license.
