ALLEN PARK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Lions have fulfilled quarterback Matthew Stafford’s request for new scenery, reportedly trading him to the Los Angeles Rams for quarterback Jared Goff and multiple draft picks.
The Lions will receive a third round pick in 2021 and first round picks in 2022 and 2023. The deal can’t be made official until the NFL year begins March 17.
Stafford was the number one overall pick out of the University of Georgia in 2009. Goff was a 2016 first round draft choice by the Rams, and led them to the Super Bowl two years ago.
