KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo Dept. of Public Safety authorities continue to look into the cause of an early morning fire Saturday that claimed a life.
Officers were called to the 1400 block of S Westnedge at around 1:19 pm, and found a fire on the second floor of the structure.
Officers were also told that at least one person lived at the house, and rescue personnel located the victim, who did not survive their injuries.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
The fire was brought under control in about 45 minutes.
