ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) –Thousands of homeowners in Allegan County are waking up without electricity, and without air conditioning.
Consumers Energy reports more than 5,700 customers are without power Friday morning in the Plainwell-Ostego area and along US-131 near the M-89 exit.
Officials say a tree is to blame after it knocked down a power line in the 700 block of Glenview Drive in Plainwell.
UPDATE: Power was restored to all but 5 customers as of 11:08 a.m. Friday.
