(KALAMAZOO) (WKZO AM/FM) – A new communications system for the Kalamazoo Public Schools will improve how buildings, buses, and personnel can connect during a crisis.
Don Webster, Chief of Security for KPS, announced Monday that the new system will cut down on the time it takes to protect those in the system when it’s necessary. Webster said that the new setup will permit all buildings, buses, and offices to hear an announcement at the same time…and will also directly call the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety as opposed to going through the 9-1-1 system.
